Mission Statement
Geneseo Development & Growth Inc. will provide your child(ren) with a welcoming environment that stimulates creativity and allows development of positive self-image for each child. Our program has structure to provide security but also freedom so that the children can explore, develop and grow emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually.

Programs
Full Day Care Infant and Toddler Care
Qualified Teachers and Assistant Teachers care for children 6 weeks thru 2 years old. Individual goals and plans are created with the families to ensure the needs of each child are being met.
Two Year Old Full Day Care
Our two year old is set up in many play based centers. The children explore their surroundings and begin developing a sense of self and learning their personal interests.
Full Day Preschool Program
3-5 year old children learn through structured play and teacher led activities. Early Learning Objectives are taught and measured, while Social Emotional Skills are Developed in these Rooms.

Growth, Inc. is a not-for-profit childcare center licensed by the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services. This means that the staff and the center meet state regulations for quality childcare. Growth, Inc. was established in 1974 to provide quality childcare to Geneseo and the surrounding communities.
During the past 30 years, Growth, Inc. has grown substantially. Beginning in Sue Sieben’s basement as a preschool program, we quickly expanded to the Trinity Episcopal Church and offered a full day childcare program for 30 children. Then in January 1981, Growth, Inc. moved to the Congregational Parsonage to further expand the number of children to 38. In September of 1981, Growth began offering additional childcare for children ages 6 weeks-12 years at the First United Methodist Church. We continued to expand that facility until 1985, then we reached our capacity of 56 children. In March of 1991, Growth, Inc. moved to our current location adjacent to the Geneseo Community Center. We are currently licensed for 156 children.
